LP3985: Not getting correct output voltage

Part Number: LP3985

Hello

I am using this chip. I had couple issues. When I use 3.3Volts input to generate 3.0V output, I get 2.6 Volts output.

When I use 5.0Volts as a input I get 3.3~3.4 Volts as output. I am just wondering why I am not getting the desired 3.0 Volts output for this case.

Would you please advise?

Thank you

Young

  • Hi Young,

What is shown in the scope shot you provided?

The only thing I see in the schematic is that there is a minimum input capacitor requirement of 1uF.

What kind of capacitor did you use for C_BYPASS?

Can you provide a scope shot showing the input and output together?

    Thanks,

    Nick
