We are using LM2576 adj  for  24V to 11 V step down converter.  As per datasheet LM2576 support 3A output current. 

In our device  load current is around 1.7A. But the IC is heating and very high. I will share the Schematic & Board layout images.

Could u please share the suggestions

    Hi Chinnan,

    Did you try to test the case top temp?

    Is your PCB only two layers?

    The U3 was placed on board side, the ground plane for U3 was quite small, also no multi vias to connect top and bottom ground for better spreading.
