UCD3138A64: Memory Debugger not available when running flash

I am having a problem using the UCD3138 GUI.

After I download the Lab1 code and make sure the program is running ("DEVICE ID" finds device), all of the tools on the "Debug" tab ("Memory Debugger", etc.) are greyed-out.

Any thoughts why this is happening.

Normally when you click the Device ID in the main menu, and a valid device ID is discovered, the debug functions are accessible.

Do you have the latest version of the Device GUI? Maybe a very old one wouldn't handle the A64, or maybe you have designer rather than studio?

I am using Fusion Digital Power Designer Version 7.7.1; I downloaded it about 2-3 weeks ago.

You need to switch to Studio. The two applications fissioned some time ago, so the UCD updates to the Designer stopped at that time. It is only for a different set of parts.
