TPS92611-Q1: Understanding Fault pin

Q1. Constant current source just makes sure the range of V(CS-REG) is nearly constant which influences the Iout directly. The fault pin is not included in this current source. This range means we can 100% strictly guarantee the spec within this range.  

Q2. The suggested circuit is like this: You can adjust the pullup resistor to make sure the pullup current<500uA. There is an extra zenor diode to protect the MCU gpio.

What is voltage at VCC?

The internal Vcc is not so relevant to your question since the weak pullup is less than 12uA.

Instead of 500uA  internal pulldown, can you tell the internal pull down in terms of resistance?

Will led driver sink >500uA from the microcontroller during a fault signal due to internal pulldown? 

Hi Akarsh,

The typical pulldown is 750uA. max 1000uA. So it may be >500uA.

As for resistance pulldown, I will give you feedback later.
