[FAQ] BQSTUDIO: How do we use BQFS(bq.fs) and DFFS(df.fs) files generated by bqStudio?

Battery Management Studio allows me to read BQFS(bq.fs) and DFFS(df.fs) files. What is the purpose of these files and how do i use these files?

    Both BQFS(bq.fs) and DFFS(df.fs) files contain a sequence of instructions to program flash memory. These instructions lines are in the TI BMS Flashstream file format.

    Use the DFFS file contents to program the golden image in to flash memory.

    Use the BQFS file contents In order to upgrade firmware to a newer version along with programming the the golden image.

     

    bqStudio has a “Programming” or “Firmware” tab which can program FS(.fs) files.
