Hi all. I have implemented a similar H-bridge driven bidirectional current control for a TEC. I am wondering if it is necessary to provide a catch diode around the inductor or other transient protection for the TPS part in the event the H-bridge is shut off, or the load is disconnected while the TPS is supplying current. I have lost a couple of parts while testing this arrangement, and I was wondering about this possibility as my problem.
