UCC24612: VGS is unstable under DCM

Part Number: UCC24612

Hi Team,

My customer is using UCC24612 in the boost topology, they find that SR's VGS is easier to be interfered under DCM compared to operating in CCM.

What's the possible caust?

CH1:SR MOSFET VGS CH2:Main MOSFET VGS

Regards,

Charles

  • Hi, Charles:

UCC24612 sense VDS signal from VD pin. So you need to check the VDS or IDS waveform to see if the VGS follows the operation method. The noise comes from improper layout or voltage noise come from parasitic inductance and capacitance could also make this happen. Please check VDS or IDS first and then to check the layout follows our suggestion in datasheet or not. It would show you some insight for this phenomenon.
