UCC2804: UCC1804J883B and UCC2804N - Differences?

Hi,

I am a Technical Sales Intern on the A&D team. I received a question from one of our customers, and I was hoping to find someone to help me.

My customer wants to know the differences between UCC1804J883B and UCC2804N.

I understand that UCC1804J883B has the lower temperature tolerance of the two, but otherwise their features seem functionally similar to me.

Any help is appreciated.

Fatima,

Components carrying the "883" suffix are screened to higher environmental, mechanical and electrical standards necessary to meet Mil-Std-883. The "B" following "883" indicates this device is screened to Mil-Std-883, class level "B", military class. Understanding Quality Levels for HiRel-rated Components and Upscreening of Class B Microcircuits for Space Applications are two excellent TI references offering more detailed explanation about our quality and screening process for 883 military and space components. UCC2804N doesn't have the same level of screening as a 883B IC.
