TPS53015: output maxim current

I want to know what is the maxim current of TPS53015 , in datasheet, I saw it is only 8A in waveform . the parameter is 25A max , so need it confirm ,

Hi Cooper,

the device is buck controller that has both the FET and inductor externally. this device can be designed up to 25A.

ok, in datasheet it shows 8A current

Hi Cooper,

The datasheet is based off of data gathered from the device's EVM. The EVM was designed for 8A at full load, however, the controller itself can be designed for up to 25A.
