ULN2003V12: Inquiries about "Operating free-air ambient temperature"

Part Number: ULN2003V12
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ULN2003LV,

Hi, TI Support Team

The table in the figure below is a comparison table between ULN2003V12 and ULN2003LV products.

This is a data downloaded from ti.com using the product compare function.

I inquire about the contents of the "Operating temperature range(C)" part of the material.

In the datasheet of ULN2003LV, "Operating free-air ambient temperature" is described as below, and it is thought that the contents are described in the comparison table.

However, the datasheet of ULN2003V12 does not contain this information.

What is included in the comparison table?

Please tell me "Operating free-air ambient temperature" of ULN2003V12.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ,
So, for these kinds of devices, a key specification is the junction temperature. This actually dictates the temperature that the device can handle. If you want to calculate the ambient temperatures, the datasheets actually have a section where you can calculate the ambient temperature based on your load specifications. If you do not have any load, the maximum ambient temperature would be the same as the maximum junction temperature. Therefore, you can use the junction temperature as a reference for comparison.
    Thanks a lot,
    Dhanya
