LM74610-DQEVM: LM74610-DQEVM

Part Number: LM74610-DQEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM74610-Q1

Hello,

In LM74610-DQEVM if i gave two different stable solar supply and DC battery 12V 80Ah as an input supply.

what is the output voltage of the evolution board?

means at the out put side which voltage value is considered solar supply or battery supply?

  • Hi Damini,

When the voltage across the Anode and Cathode pins reaches -20mV (typical), the LM74610-Q1 immediately turns OFF the FET and discharges the MOSFET gate capacitance to block reverse current flow. This means that,

    1. If both the input power supply voltages close and are within 20mV difference, the load current will be shared by both the power supplies. Both the LM74610-Q1 controllers will keep their respective FETs turned ON.
    2. If the difference between both the  supply voltages is more than 20mV, then the power supply with highest voltage will supply the load. The LM74610-Q1 in the path of lower voltage will be turned OFF to block reverse current flow.
