LM22675-Q1: Can the LM22670-Q1 be used as a replacement?

Part Number: LM22675-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM22670-Q1, , LM22675, LM22670

Team,

I'm posting this on behalf of my customer.  They would like to know if the LM22670-Q1 can be used as a replacement for the LM22675-Q1?  It looks like the main difference can be seen in section 6.6 of each respective datasheet where the Current Limit spec "I_CL" is lower on the LM22675-Q1 (1.7A max) than the LM22670-Q1 (5.3A max).  Anything else to be aware of?

The customer only needs up to 800mA limit, so what is the Min current limit spec for?  Will either part work even though the datasheet says the Min I_CL is 1.3A on the LM22675-Q1 and Min I_CL is 3.4A on the LM22670-Q1?

Thanks,

Tom

  • Hello

Yes you can use the LM22670 in place of the LM22675.

One thing to be aware of is that your inductor should be able to handle the increased

current limit of the LM22670 without saturating.

Also, the RT/SYNC pin should be left floating if not needed.

    Thanks
