BQ3060: Need .senc with chem ID 2107

This gauge is a CEDV gauge and does not use chem IDs, which is why the plugin is not present. You will need to do the GPCCEDV process in order to get the best fitting CEDV coefficients.

Doug Williams in this other related post was wrong?  I had the good fortune of working with him in the past.  He was the most knowledgeable person at TI when it comes to these devices.  In this post he implies that Chem ID is important in regard to the BQ3060.  

Also as that post states the technical reference for the gauge says, "The initial RM and RSOC are estimated using the open-circuit voltage (OCV) characteristics of the programmed Li-ion chemistry (default ID0100), DOD at EDV2, and Qmax Pack."

I'm not as familiar with the older gauges, but this gauge is a CEDV gauge as mentioned on the product page. The gauge uses the chem ID, which is mostly used for impedance track gauges, in order to determine the SOC from a reset, but that is all it would be used for. If your application does not use the RESET command or the gauge does not POR, the chem ID will have no affect on gauging.

This gauge is very old so a lot of the support and software used is no longer upkept and it is mostly left as active to support existing customers that already use the BQ3060. If this is a new design I would recommend switching to the BQ4050, the BQ4050 uses a DOD vs. voltage lookup table that is exported as part of the GPCCEDV tool, you do not need to find a chem ID and program it.
