TPS65381-Q1: VDDIO is supplied by VDD1=3.3V

Part Number: TPS65381-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65381A-Q1

Hi team,

I see VDDIO is supplied by VDD5 or VDD3/5 in the datasheet of TPS65381A-Q1. I would like to confirm if it can be supplied by VDD1=3.3V. VDD1=3.3V is for MCU.

Thanks.

  • Hi Jerry,

We should be able to look into this and get you a response by Tuesday.

  • Hi Jerry,

If VDD1 is used at a 3.3V output I do not expect this to be an issue. I will highlight that the VDD1 output is not monitored by default so if the customer would like to monitor the VDD1 output they will need to set the NMASK_VDD1_UV_OV bit in the DEV_CFG1 register to 1.

Note, if VDD1 is not operating within the requirements of the IO for either the PMIC or the MCU then the MCU may not be able to set the NMASK_VDD1_UV_OV bit. This will result in the ENDRV and NRES pins of the PMIC not reacting to VDD1 being OV or UV.

    Best regards,

    Layne J
