BQ25798: BQ25798 + cell balancing

Hi,

We are considering using the BQ25798 for power path management and PV panel handling in a solar panel + 4s1p LiFePO4 application.

I understand that the BQ25798 does not provide cell balancing, so it needs to be used in conjunction with something else.

I have seen the BQ40Z50 mentioned for this purpose in another question on the forum, but that part seems to be a pack-based management solution that provides a whole lot of features for protection, fuel gauging etc. In our case, the pack comes with an integrated BMS that already handles the protection functions, and we can live with a simpler voltage monitoring system for fuel gauging.

I am wondering if there is any recommendation for a simpler part that can work in conjunction with the BQ25798 for just the cell balancing? Appreciate any pointers.
