TPS51285B: SCH V2 review

Part Number: TPS51285B

Hi Team,

Could you pls help review the SCH version 2 of TPS51285B for BYD? Not much has changed in this version.

In addition, is there a risk of damaging the MOS if the drive resistance of the high-side MOS is 0? Please comment.

  • Hi Hailiang,

According to Equation 3~4 in datasheet, I calculate the 5V-rail OC threshold is ~15.17A (for 12Vin), less than Imax 16A. 3.3V rail OC threshold is ~14.66A (for 12Vin), also less than Imax 16A.

Please check again the OC threshold.

Besides, we suggest to leave a place for HS-MOS driving resistor, which is useful for further debug.
