TPS7A03: Over-current protection foldback time

Hello,

We are using the TPS7A0325 and observe different timings on the foldback:

690mA -> 15us
270mA -> 60us

Is there a way to calculate or estimate the time it takes for the foldback?

Hi Ambroise,

I'm not aware of any way to estimate the foldback time and calculating it is not possible. This is something that you would need to test on an EVM or another board (it sounds like you already have one on a board).

Yes, we are measuring this on the EVM. Can you share what can influence this timing, asside theovercurrent? (external components, temp., ...?

Hi Ambroise,

The response time for foldback current is dependent on COUT and temperature.
