TPSM82821A: SW voltage

Hi support team,

I don't think the TPSM8282x has a SW pin.
SLVSEP0F has a description of VSW in TEST CONDITIONS of Electrical Characteristics and SW waveforms.

Is there a way to observe the SW voltage?

Hi Dice,

The inductor on top of the package has one terminal connected to SW and one to VOUT. You can probe the SW node by contacting the corresponding terminal of the inductor.

If you want to include VSW information in the data sheet, I think it is better to clearly describe the position of the SW node in the data sheet.

Hi Dice,

Sorry for the inconvenience. The reason for not describing this is because, usually there is no need for customers to check this. And there is a risk of damaging the device trying to probe the SW node.

Hi Dice,

It's just a precaution against damaging the inductor or the substrate of the module by applying too much pressure with the needle tip of the probe.
