BQ3050: Calibration and Senc file

Hello Team,

1. Dataflash , Calibration memory and Firmware memories are all have different space / segment inside BQ3050 ?

2. Does senc file contains all above three data ?

3. I am using BqEVSW software to interact with BQ3050 , can i export senc file with that ? i see , we can only export gg file ( only dataflash ).

Hello Bhupendra,

Yes there are different memory locations for each subset of data.

the senc/srec file contains both the dataflash settings as well as the firmware.

You should be able to export the .senc/.srec file in BQEVSW under the pro tab.

Thanks Keller,

Where does the calibration data stored ? Do i need to do calibration for each battery pack using same cell while in production ?

Pro Tab does not seems to have option for export , it will just import .senc file and program the gauges.

Hello Bhupendra,

You can calibrate multiple packs, if the calibration values do not vary much from pack to pack then you can average them and use them in your golden image.

Please click on the top bar labelled "Flash Memory" to export the .senc file.

Golden image ? Is it different from Senc file ?

How to create golden image and Load into each BQ3050 based battery pack ?

The golden image is the .senc file that is configured for final production in your application.

Ok Weller,

Just to be sure that , Senc file also contains Calibrated values as well for Battery pack ?

So, Loading senc file into the other battery pack will also calibrate that other battery pack well , Correct me if i am wrong..
