We have designed and built a constant current Led Driver using your product: LM3414.

The characteristics of the product are as follows:

Power supply voltage: 24 Volt DC

Current programmable with insertion of 4 resistors through a Dip Switch respectively: 350mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1Amp.

ITA Corrente programabile con inserimento di 4 Resistori attraverso un Dip Switch rispettivamente: 350mA,500mA,700mA,1Amp.

LED bank: 4 LEDs in series.

Led color: White. Vf=3Volt

The following problem arises:

By setting a current lower than 700mA (500 and 350 mA) the LM3414 integrated circuit switches abnormally with many spurious and consequent incorrect current values with respect to the two set values (350 and 500mA).

ITA Impostando una corrente inferiore a 700mA (500 e 350 mA) il circuito integrato LM3414 commuta in modo anomalo con molte spurie e conseguenti errati valori di corrente rispetto ai due valori impostati (350 e 500mA).

The current in the LEDs varies continuously in an absolutely unstable way.

La corrente nei Led varia continuamente in modo assolutamente instabile.

It should be noted that with a current of 700mA and 1 Amp. The switching of the LM3414 occurs clearly and absolutely without spurious signals and the rising and falling edges are free from flikering and are absolutely free of any noise or disturbance.
