TUSB546-DCI: Understand Configuration

Hi,

We are using USB3.1+2 Lane DP with flip configuration mode. So i have check TUSB546 EVM board there USB PD TPS65982 used but in my board I'm not using variable voltage- I have fixed 5V Source only. my doubt
is:
1. Can we use the same TUSB546 without PD controller and use Channel Configuration controller?
2. I have read in attached Document [https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/slly016/slly016.pdf?ts=1658392801475&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Fproduct%252FTUSB546A-DCI] that thru channel controller we cannot access Video. 

please clarify doubts for my further process.
