UCC21750-Q1: How the 400mA STO is realized?

Part Number: UCC21750-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21750

UCC21750 has 400mA soft turn-off current and in the block diagram, it has another drive path for STO function. How does this happen? Is it realized by a solid current source or just a mosfet with bigger resistor? If it's just a resistor and how is 400A calculated?

  • Hi Jass,

The soft turn-off is realized by an internal current source. You can see the block diagram on figure 47 of the UCC21750 datasheet.
