LP5862: Using LP5862 without internal power switch

Part Number: LP5862
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5861

Assuming we would like to use the LP5862 to only drive up to 16 LEDs and not in the 2x matrix arrangement, is it possible to connect the LEDs anodes directly to VLED instead of SW0, bypassing the internal PMOS?

This kind of application is described in the LP5861 data sheet "Figure 9-2. Typical Application 2 - LP5861 Drives Six RGB LEDs Without Internal Switch". If we can do the same with LP5862, this part could be a valid alternative to the LP5861.
