BQ35100: calibration issue

Part Number: BQ35100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

When using the gauge to detect battery charge, the customer has the following 2 questions:

1) When the voltage current has been calibrated, the load is connected and the current sample will output normally, but negative numbers are shown. After power down, then powering up, current no longer shows properly when load is connected, always 0, and must be calibrated again. Why?

2) Is there a way to quickly write the configuration file to other new chips instead of using bqStudio to burn the configuration file one by one?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

    1. The gauge should store this calibration data in flash so that it is not lost on a reset. When you are changing these values, are you hitting the Write button afterwards in BQStudio? If you do not hit write, the values will change but not be stored in data flash so they will reset upon power removal.

    2. We do not support production level reading/writing from the gauge. This is something that the customer must develop on their own.

    Best Regards,

    Jackson
