TPS92640: Inconsistent on/off continuation

Part Number: TPS92640
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92641

Hi Experts,

Our customer has an initial concern as shown below:
"We have an application that toggles and LED on/off (15-20A).  We are finding that depending on the Iadj input voltage that turn on time for the LED is very inconsistent. We have the circuit operating normally with a fixed voltage on Iadj. However we need the LED to toggle on and off at a fixed rate.  When toggling between 0 and 2.5V (on Iadj) we get a consistent toggling output on the LED, but when that voltage is toggling between 0 and say 1.5 V we get a very inconsistent output on the LED.

Is this something that we would need the TPS92641 to accomplish.  Wondering if there is any way TI could set up a call to discuss the design?  We're going on 3 months of troubleshooting and I'm not sure if this IC is sufficient for this design."

We hope you can help. Thank you.

Kind regards,
