Hello Team,

I am using LMR36006-Q1 buck IC for converting 12V to 5V. So, i am using suggested Inductor & capacitor values in my schematic.

But how to get the load transient values (Delta IOUT & VOUT) for justifying the output capacitor values?

Is any application note available for understanding transients??

Hi Richard,

Thank you for the information.

LMR36006 IC is internally compensated and they suggested inductor value =22 uH & Output capacitor value = 42 uF .

For output capacitor value, In datasheet provided below equation:

Based on the my current budget, i know the delta Iout (transient) value.

How to choose the Delta Vout value for justifying the Cout value?

Hi Giridhar,

You will need to calculate delta Vout with the given Cout value and delta Iout value.

If you increase the output capacitance, the delta vout value will decrease.

I will check delta Vout based on my delta Iout and suggested output capacitor.
