TPS92640: About the maximum current

Part Number: TPS92640
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3429,

Hi team,

I didn't get a response on the following post, so I'm reposting it

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1123334/tps92640-about-the-maximum-current

There are LED drivers for lighting such as TPS92640 and LM3429 with a maximum current of 5A, but why is the maximum current determined for these devices?
I thought it depends on the external FET, so if there is enough room in the current rating of the FET, the current can flow.

Sincerely.
Ryu
