Hello TI Experts,

My customer is designing Ideal diode application using LM7481-Q1. Requirements: 

  • Voltage is KL30
  • 300A DC current
  • plan is to use 5 FETs in parallel
  • No hot swap FETs (just ideal diode)

They consider using one of these two FETs:

Can you comment if LM7481-Q1 is able to drive 5 of these in parallel? 
What will be time to charge gates of these 5 FETs?

    Hi Piotr,

    May I know what is the sub-system in Automotive that requires 12V, 300A ? 

    Is AC superimposed test applicable at the input of the Ideal Diode ? If yes, what is the max frequency of the  super imposed signal ?

    I would recommend using LM74722-Q1 instead of LM74810-Q1 as it has higher gate drive strength and helps in faster turn ON of the FETs.
