WEBENCH-POWER-DESIGNER: Losses Modeled

Part Number: WEBENCH-POWER-DESIGNER
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS565208, TPS51397A, LM61480

Hello!

I'm working with WeBench and was wondering what losses were modeled in the simulation. Conduction losses? Switching losses? AC losses?

Also, does the answer of the above question depend on the specific part I am trying to simulate? If so, could you fill me in on the losses that are modeled for the TPS565208, LM61480, & TPS51397A?

Thank you for your help with this!

  • Hi Jackson,

I'm the AE supporting TPS51397A. For TPS51397A webench model, you can refer to below table. The IC loss estimation is correlated by actual efficiency data, including device conduction loss, switching loss and so on. If you have more questions on TPS51397A, please let me know. For other parts, please create a new e2e threshold to consult. Thank you.

  • Hi Jackson,

Among these three parts, which one do you prefer to get information about loss estimation in model?
