TPS1HB16-Q1: Current consumption | active mode, diagnostics off

Part Number: TPS1HB16-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS272C45

What is the current consumption of the device, in case it is active, with for example VBB = 12 V, VOUT = 12V, VEN = 5V but VDIAG_EN = 0V?
The datasheet states IDIA with VEN = 0 V, VDIA_EN = 5 V and IQ with VEN = VDIA_EN = 5 V but not VEN = 5 V and VDIA_EN = 0 V.

  • Hi Emil,

This is a very good question. I have searched through our database and didn't find we did test on this condition.

At this moment, I would say the best way is to order an EVM and test the current consumption to be sure.

For reference, TPS272C45 sees a decrease of 0.5mA by disabling the DIAG_EN.

Sorry for the inconvenience and let me know if you have additional questions.

    Regards,

    Yichi
