UCC23513EVM-014: Voltage dropped at 100Hz.

Hi,

Currently, our customer is facing some issues after evaluating the EVK. Please help to advise whether will higher peak current IC solve this issue.

  1. They found out the Vout dropped from 24V to 21V when they insert the 33Ω output load (around 0.7A) and they need the Vout to be 24V.
  2. Initially, they tested the setup using a function generator is 100Hz but faced issues voltage dropped from 24V to 21V.
  3. They had tested with 100kHz (5us) pulse width and the output voltage was stable at 24V.
  4. The customer's application required longer on/off time of the output as it’s not a switching output type.

  • Hi, Pang,

Sorry your customer is having difficulty.

Can you describe the load the customer is trying to drive? This device is designed to drive the capacitive load of the gate of a power transistor. Are they planning to use it to drive a resistive load?

If you could send a schematic of how the customer is planning on using the device, it would be helpful. Are they planning on driving the load at less than 100 Hz?

For the waveforms, what two waveforms do the channels represent?

    Best regards,

    Don
