TPS51206: Input to VDDQSNS

Part Number: TPS51206

Hi All,

I have a question about the TPS51206.

In order to output 0.6 from VTT, input 1.2V to VDDQSNS by resistive voltage division.

Are there any concerns with this input circuit?

Best Regards,
Ishiwata

  • Ishiwata,

    Typically, we recommend larger resistor values (in the kOhm) range for the input resistor divider. The VDDQSNS pin typically requires 30uA for proper operation. In order to decrease the current through the resistor divider, 3k and 6k resistors can be used instead.

    Thanks,

    Kadeem

  • Hello, it will work but the VDDQSNS bias current 30uA (typical) should be taking in consideration.

    With this configuration, VDDQSNS = VLDO*(600/900) - Ibias*600*300/(600+300).

    VDDQSNS = VLDO*(2/3) - Ibias*200

    The bias current introduces a typical error of 30 uA*200 Ohms = 6mV. The bias current can vary from device to device and over temperature.

    Please close this thread as resolved if it answers your question.
