LM5118-Q1: EN Threshold is not consistent with datasheet

Part Number: LM5118-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5118

When I test EN threshold of LM5118,I find that the EN Input High Threshold is 1.7V,the low threshold is 1V。

However the EN Input High Threshold is 3V ,the low threshold is 0.5V in datasheet.

  • Hello Jian,

Thanks for reaching out to us via e2e.

The datasheet defines the levels that the user is expected to apply to the pins of our device to make sure that a certain state/mode is selected.
At a voltage below 0.5V the part is always disabled, no matter what. At a voltage above 3V we guarantee that it is enabled, independent of temperature or other influences.
The range between 0.5V and 3V is not defined. The actual switch points and hysteresis can vary from part to part and across temperature or other influences.
If you use the part outside of the recommended operating conditions (e.g. 0.8V as low level on that pin), there is no guarantee that this will always work.

    Best regards,
    Harry
