BQ25882: NTC thermistor design recommended 10k to 100k

Hi team,

my customer is asking about NTC thermistor design when they want to change 10k to 100k.

Datasheet recommended 103AT-2 thermistor, but they want to use 100k NTC thermistor. is it possible to use it instead?

I think TI profile will be affected, but they want to konw if 100k can be used anyway.

hello,

you can use the Semitec 103-AT, which has 10-kΩ resistance at room temperature and the 104AP-2,which has 100-kΩ resistance at room temperature

Hi NY,

It is possible to use 100kohm thermistor. The values for the resistor divider from REGN to TS to GND will change. You can compute the new resistor values using the equations on d/s pages 25-26.
