LM334: Need a DC constant current source between 0.5 ma and 2.0 ma varied by a potentiometer.

I need to make a DC current source that runs from 0.5 ma to 2.0 ma and varies over that range using a variable resistance (potentiometer). The load will most likely vary from 4000 to 6000 ohms. It will be used indoors at most likely 72 degrees F. I really do not want it to vary over temperature but that is not too important since it will most likely be used indoors at a constant temperature. I am confused by the data sheet as to how to design Rset. The input voltage will be 18 volts. Design for a load of 5000 ohms. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
