TPS3850-Q1: Disable watchdog lower boundary

Hi team,

I would like to know if I can disable lower boundary of watchdog timer in TPS3850 to use it as simple Time out type watchdog.

Is that possible?

Hello Shinji-san,

TPS3850-Q1 does not support this feature.

Also, does the customer want to change the type of watchdog on the fly using a pin or he wants to use window watchdog in one variant of application and time out watchdog in another.

We are working on TPS35 and TPS36 family of supervisor + WD family device which offer pin compatible devices with time out and window watchdog devices respectively.

Will this work?
