Hii Technocrats,

Currently I am working on BQ25731 battery charger, I am facing some difficulty regarding all the configuration registers. Can you all please provide any bare metal program helping us to understand the registers value to be fed in the registers. Also is there possibility to improvise the charging and discharging over the IC.

Hi, Anshuman,

A common misconception about BQ25731 is the register setting file. You don't need any register setting file to use this part. During startup, BQ25731 will load its default setting from its internal memory.

The detailed register description is in section 9.6 Register Map of the datasheet. The user can modify the register values to set the charge current and charge voltage accordingly.

Understood, but I need to understand is there any sudo code present mentioning the fault status and action taken on this fault generation present on charger status register.

Do we provide bare metal program for these devices, Anshuman is my customer & they are facing challenges with software implementation. If we have something ready, can you be able to share?

Sorry, our primary focus has been on the components level in the past, we use BQStudio for register changes manually. We rely on the customer on the system level integration or software/firmware development.
