PTH08T220W: is getting too hot

Part Number: PTH08T220W

Please see attached schematic.

Input voltage 12V DC

Desired output Voltage 3V DC

Desire Output Current 5-10A

C25 Rubycon 35YXG1000MEFC12.5X25

C = 100uF

ESR = 89MOHM @ 100KHZ

C = 330uF

ESR = 40mOHM

When Powering module even without load coil and transistor driver on the PTH08T220WAD board is getting too hot around 50 degree C, input current around 500mA.

When applying load 1-2.7A device is getting warmer input current goes up to 750 mA.

When loading device with 3A load, we noticed is PTH08T220WAD is going in to shut down (overheat?) mode.

Please advise at your earliest convenience what should be changed to get device operating normally.

Thank you,
