What is the guaranteed maximum output current of this part?
Thanks for the help.

Hi Marvin,
UCC2813-5-Q1 is rated to ±1A peak current source/sink absolute max. The test for determining this current is measured into a fixed capacitive load and we do this to allow reasonable parametric comparisons between controllers (and gate drivers). Your actual load is most likely a MOSFET which is a non-linear capacitive load and your gate drive circuit, MOSFET package and PCB layout is adding additional parasitic inductance that often forces the use of a resistor in series with OUT to control gate ringing oscillations seen at the MOSFER VGS. As a result, the ±1A peak current from the driver is could be less than the actual current seen at VGS.
