TLV1117: Stability of the LDO with 1uF capacitor

Hi,
Is below circuit stable with 1uF ceramic output capacitor? The datasheet says that -this device is designed to be stable with tantalum and
aluminum electrolytic output capacitors having an ESR between 0.2 Ω and 10 Ω.

This device needs minimum 200mΩ ESR for the output cap. Ceramic caps have about 10mΩ ~ 20mΩ ESR so they are not suitable for this device without a series resistor.

Have they considered the TLV767? It is an improved, cost-effective device but is not P2P. It looks like in their schematic they are looking for a P2P drop-in to replace a device already on the board.

Hi Nick,

In the previous schematic I used LP3869 that is stable with ceramic capacitors. I didn't realize TLV1117 is not stable with ceramic capacitors. Is there a p2p that is stable with ceramic capacitors.
