UCC20520: Is there an internal pull down resistance from the gate to source?

Part Number: UCC20520

Hi team,

My customer has a question on the UCC20520..

Is there an internal pull down resistance from gate to source? From looking at the datasheet, it appears not.  But if not, what kind of leakage currents can they expect between the gate and source ?

Thanks,
Lauren

  • Hi Lauren,

Any leakage current through the output would be very minimal based on the high impedance between the drain and source of the FETs when they're not turned ON (not driving the output high or low). We do not specify this parameter in the datasheet, but we have measured the impedance between VDD and OUT, and VSS and OUT on the bench and it is in the Mega-Ohms range. Thus, any leakage is expected to be small. For isolated supply design purposes, please point your customer to the quiescent current specifications.

    Regards,

    Audrey
