TPS82130: EN threshold

Part Number: TPS82130

Hi Team,

my customer hope to achieve Vin rising threshold = 8V or 8.5V, Vin falling threshold = 5V or 4.5V.

But according to datasheet,  min VIH=0.9V,  max VIL=0.3V, so we should use this value for design, then above cannot be achieved.  but typical VIH=0.9V, typical VIL=0.45V, the difference is not so large.

1. is there distribution data on VIH and VIL value?  if the difference is not so large, maybe we can refer to the distribution to do design?

2. current threshold is to meet 1.8V I/O JEDEC requirement, right?

And internal circuit is just logic comparator circuit to set high and low threshold, right?

Thanks.

  • Hi Given,

    1. The distribution graph is only taken from 25C and we could not guarantee the data for whole operation temperature range. The distribution data may vary with different sample lot. You could not refer to distribution data for a design. TI only guarantee the typ value. We need a NDA document to share distribution data with customer.

    2. What do you mean 1.8V I/O JEDEC requirement?

    3. Yes,

    Thanks,

    Nancy
