REF200: ref200

Part Number: REF200

I am considering using REF200 as a current sink (100 uA), but it requires the current sink input voltage is to be a min of 2.5V. I think I have 1.4 V but not 2.5V input.

Can I use the current mirror part of REF200, by grounding pins 3 and 4 and hooking up pin 5 to the input voltage of 1.4 V ? Would this config give me 100 uA current sink ?

Do I leave the other pins of REF200 open, or should I connect them to ground ?

  • Hello,

REF200 requires 2.5V to produce an accurate current sink. Unfortunately we can't guarantee the accuracy of the device for a voltage below 2.5V. Unused pins should be left floating except for the substrate which should be connected to the most negative potential in the system.

    Best,

    Walter
