TL494: Can you recomend full bridge PWM controller for single phase inverter?

Part Number: TL494

Hello,

I am finding Sine PWM controller or circuit.

Already I made 390V PFC power stage and then need to PWM controller for convert 390VDC to 220VAC.

I would appreciate it if you could recommend a suitable device or reference design.

Thanks.

  • Hi Jaemyeong,

Thank you for your question. You have TL494 already listed in the title of the question. Are you using this PWM controller for the DC/DC conversion or are you looking for another device? I will also need to know if this is isolated or non isolated DC/DC conversion and the output power.

Webench Power Designer is a great online resource you can use. You can input your Vin, Vout and Iout requirements into the tool. Then, different reference designs with different devices will be shown along with each design's advantages. You can refer to this tool first. For isolated topologies, you can also reference the table below.

  • Hi Jonathan,

    Thank you for your reply.

Unfotunately, I couldn't find suitable devices in the Webench Power Designer.

Truly, it was not opened just showed "Service Unavailable".

Anyway, I am finding DC 390V to AC 220V full bridge inverting controller.

Power is about 800~1000W and without using Trans and MCU.

so maybe it is non-isolated solution.

I would appreciate it if you could recommend a suitable device or reference design.

  • Hi Jonathan,

I just tried Webench Power Designer but there is no AC output option.

I need to PWM controller for single phase full bridge DC to AC inverter.

    "390VDC to 220VAC"

    Check please.

  • Hi Jaemyeong,

Unfortunately TI does not have an analog simple solution to create an AC output from a PFC.

You will need to use a micro controller or transformer based solution.

    Thanks,

    Robert

  • Hi Robert,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I will check micro controller.
