BQ25798: BQ25798 application

Part Number: BQ25798

We are considering using the BQ25798 in a solar panel + battery application. The panel will be a 35W(18V/1.89A) panel, and the battery is TBD.

A couple of questions:

1) The BQ25798 webpage does not mention the type of battery. I would like to know what battery size is applicable?

2) Any other special care specifically for BQ25798?(ex.)

    Hi Boris,

    With charge current up to 5A (assuming the input source can provide enough power), many LiIon battery packs up to and over 5AHr are okay.  Host control of I2C registers is required to enable MPP operation.  Is a host processor or micro-controller available in the application?
