Hi All,

I have a question about webench simulation of LM3478.

For the following input conditions, I was able to run the simulation.

However, when the input range is fixed at 5-6V as shown below, the simulation does not run.

Why does this occur? Please let me know the reason.

Hi Ishiwata-san,

LM3478 SEPIC designs works only for Buck-Boost conditions (VinMin<Vout<VinMax) and WEBENCH fails to create the designs for pure Buck or pure Boost conditions.
Both the input conditions shared by you doesn't satisfy the criteria VinMin<Vout<VinMax, hence its a valid fail.

I understand that the LM3478's webench starts only in buck-boost conditions.
