BQ2982: Integrated CHG/DSG FET solution with ZVCHG Disabled function.

Hi team,

We are looking for the battery protection device witch integrated CHG/DSG FET and has ZVCHG Disable function like BQ298215 or 16.

we plan to use the 1s3p Li-ion battery.

Do you have some recommend protection device?

And is there some FET device witch recommend for BQ2982?

Hi Teritama,

I think the BQ2982 family is the best option for the battery you describe. The BQ2980EVM has FETs that work well with this device - it is important to use FETs with low gate leakage since gate leakage will result in higher supply current on the BQ2982 IC.

In case that choice in integrated FETs product, should we choice from 'Charger Front-End Protection' product ?

Hi Teritama,

We do not have any battery protectors with integrated FETs. The Charger Front-End protectors are a different type of product - these ICs are for the charger, not the battery.
