BQ27510-G3: System Side Fuel Gauge Features for Short Rest Applications

Hello,

 

I’m working with a system side fuel gauge for a single lithium-ion cell application. The application has short rest periods and currently uses the bq27510-G3. There are some newer impedance track features that I am interested in testing in my application.

 

Two questions:

  • Is there a way for TI to enable newer features like Fast Qmax update on older gauges like the bq27510-G3? Being able to test the Fast Qmax in my current system would be very helpful.
  • I see that the newer system side fuel gauges (bq27520-G4 & bq27421-G1) have the Fast Qmax update feature, but are there system side gauges with the Fast OCV feature?
