TPS65219: Power off request threshold

Hi,

According to datasheet and the APN of Powering the AM62x with the TPS65219 PMIC, it looks the power off tdeglitch is 8 seconds, does it mean end user has to press power button longer than 8S to power off the end equipment? Is it configurable?

Could you please also send me technical manual to include all register for TPS65219?

Hi Tiger,

Thanks for reaching out! There are two ways of executing an OFF request from the Active state.

by pulling the EN/PB/VSENSE pin low for ~8s when configured as push-button.
by sending an OFF request through I2C (Register: MFP_CTRL register / Bit: I2C_OFF_REQ)

If hope to have 3s for OFF request by pressing power button, how to do this?

In general, suppose to count power button pressing time and send I2C for OFF request, am I right?

Hi Tiger,

The ~8 seconds low-level that is required on the PB to turn-OFF the PMIC is not configurable but customer could use the "INT_PB" register and a ~3s timer to detect a falling edge on the PB pin and send an OFF request through I2C.
