I have an energy harvesting application that requires an MPPT update rate faster than once every 16 seconds. I am using a BQ25505 and forcing a faster update rate by momentarily disabling & re-enabling the chip at regular intervals (typically once every few seconds). This seems to work except that BQ25505 is not controlling at the expected MPPT set-point. I have VOC_SAMP connected to VSTOR so I am expecting Vin to be ~80% of the open-circuit source voltage, but it appears to be controlling at ~50%. I would be grateful for any suggestions you may have as to why this should be.
